## What the connector does

-   **Answers with your data:** ask about your risks, your Law 25 controls or your vendors, and get answers from your real NextIT records.
-   **Ready-made tasks:** draft an incident, review compliance gaps, check a DPIA, take a vendor risk snapshot or write a weekly privacy summary.
-   **Approved actions:** create and update records, but only when you allow it.

## Secure by design

Your assistant signs in as you. It sees only your company and does only what your role allows. NextIT records every action with your name, the tool and the result.

**Good to know:** approve read-only access, and the write tools do not appear at all. NextIT refuses any change.

## How to connect

### 1\. Ask an Admin to switch it on

An Admin enables MCP for each account type under My Company → MCP & AI Agents.

### 2\. Add the address to your assistant

Paste [https://app.nextit.tech/mcp](https://app.nextit.tech/mcp) into the connector settings of Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or your editor.

### 3\. Sign in and approve

Sign in to NextIT in your browser, as usual, and approve what the assistant may do.

### Does it work with Gemini?

Gemini CLI connects with the same address, as described in our guide for other tools.

### Do I need an API key?

No. NextIT issues no API keys for MCP. You sign in, so every action stays attributable to you.

### Can I turn it off?

Yes. An Admin can switch an account type off, and you can revoke any assistant from your account console.
