# Plans & billing

Try NextIT free for 30 days with no credit card, then choose a plan and a billing period.

## What this module is for

When your free trial ends, NextIT asks you to choose a plan. This page explains the trial, the trial banner, how to choose a plan and a billing period, and how an Admin manages the subscription and the invoices.

## Before you start

-   Only an Admin chooses, changes or manages a plan. Other roles must ask their Admin.
-   Sign-up needs no credit card. The trial lasts 30 days.
-   Plan names and prices are on the [Pricing page](https://nextit.tech/pricing/). This page does not list them.

## Your 30-day trial

When you sign up, you get 30 days free. You do not need a credit card to start.

During the trial, a banner offers `Upgrade now` and `View plans`. Select `View plans` to open the page titled `Choose Your Plan`.

## How to choose a plan

    Open the plans

    Select `View plans` or `Upgrade now` in the trial banner.

    Pick a billing period

    Select `Monthly` to pay each month, or select `Annually` to pay each year. The plan page shows both choices, and you can switch between them.

    Select a plan

    Select `Select Plan` on the plan you want. NextIT then opens the checkout for that plan.

If you are not sure which plan fits, select `Talk to an expert`. The plan you already have shows `Current Plan`.

## Manage your subscription

An Admin manages the subscription. Follow these steps to change it.

1.  Open the header menu and select `My Profile`.
2.  Find the subscription section.
3.  Select `Manage Subscription` to open the billing portal, or select `Change Plan` to choose another plan.

## Invoices

An Admin can view the list of invoices for your company. Other roles cannot see the invoice list.

## Who manages billing

-   An Admin manages billing. The Admin chooses a plan, starts a checkout, opens the billing portal and views the invoices.
-   A User can see the current subscription, but cannot change it.
-   Other roles are asked to contact their Admin.

## Common tasks

-   Choose a plan: select `View plans`, pick a billing period, then select `Select Plan`.
-   Switch the billing period: select `Monthly` or `Annually`.
-   Change your plan: select `Change Plan` in the subscription section.
-   Open the billing portal: select `Manage Subscription`.
-   Get help with your choice: select `Talk to an expert`.

## Tips

-   Compare the plans on the [Pricing page](https://nextit.tech/pricing/) before the trial ends.
-   Keep at least two Admins in your company, so that someone can manage billing when one of them is away.
-   Use `Talk to an expert` if you are not sure which plan fits your team.
