# A simpler way to add software

Sep 18, 2026

Add software with just a name and a vendor, and NextIT shows you what is still missing.

## New

- The four privacy questions accept a “don't know” answer, so you can finish them later.
- Each software row shows how many details are still missing, and the marker clears once they are filled in.

## Improved

- Only the name and vendor are required, and the category fills in from the matching software.
- Filter the software inventory with three dropdowns beside the search box.

## Fixed

- Links from low-scoring compliance categories now open the right category, and the category filter works in French.
- A software cost you enter is always saved with its currency.
